At Way of Wellness Acupuncture Clinic we have been using acupuncture, frequently in combination with herbal medicine, as an adjunct treatment to help people enhancing their fertility by addressing issues which may affect fertility. However one should not regard acupuncture alone as a cure for infertility because not all causes of infertility can be treated by acupuncture. For example, blocked fallopian tubes and other physical structural abnormalities will not respond to acupuncture and herbs treatment. Therefore a full medical diagnostic review is needed in order to identify the possible causes of infertility. We recommend you make an enquiry to or have an initial consultation with the practitioner to assess whether acupuncture and Chinese Medicine may be able to help you with your particular conditions.
Indigestion, bloating, constipation, nausea and vomiting, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, heartburn, gastrospasm.
Allergic rhinitis (including hay fever), chronic asthma, common cold, cough, chronic bronchitis, sinusitis.
Neurological and mental disorder
Depression (severe depression cannot be treated by acupuncture alone. Please do not go off and reduce your medication without first consulting your medical doctor), insomnia, stress, post-herpetic neuralgia, Bell’s palsy, post-stroke effects.
Chronic fatigue syndrome, acne, early essential hypertension, shingles, obesity, eczema, tinnitus, tobacco addictions, adverse reaction to chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has listed a wide range of diseases, symptoms and conditions for which acupuncture has been proved through controlled trials to be an effective treatment. It also lists others for which the therapeutic effect of acupuncture has been shown but for which further proof is needed. Please click here for information on the list.
