Way of Wellness Acupuncture

About Qi Ding

Qi is a fully qualified and registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner with long and rich clinical experience in both China and Australia. She holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chinese Medicine from two renowned Chinese medical universities and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Sydney. She also holds a Diploma in Remedial Massage. This extensive education and experience has given her a unique and wide-ranging insight into the broad applicability of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Over the years, Qi has treated many patients with a wide range of conditions such as pain relief (headache, neck, shoulder and lower back pain), arthritis, stress, depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue syndrome, injuries, digestive disorders (abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, nausea and vomiting), chronic asthma, and weight loss.

Qi also has a special interest in women's health including irregular periods, dysmenorrhoea, hormonal problems and menopause. She has many patients coming to her clinic for issues such as infertility, and seeking fertility, pregnancy and IVF support. Using acupuncture, customized herbal formula, diet and lifestyle advice, Qi have helped many patients with conditions that affect fertility to achieve healthy pregnancy and delivery of healthy babies.

However not all causes of infertility can be treated by acupuncture. For example, acupuncture and herbs will not work to address tubal adhesions which can occur as a result of pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis. We recommend you make an enquiry to or have an initial consultation with the practitioner to assess whether acupuncture and Chinese Medicine may be able to help you with your particular conditions.

Her Approach

Qi will address your health issues with a holistic approach, incorporating acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine together with other treatment techniques and nutrition and life-style counselling. If you are struggling with a health problem, this may mean your body's natural self-healing mechanisms are not functioning properly. Chinese medicine and acupuncture work by assisting and promoting your body's natural healing mechanisms and correcting biochemical imbalances.

Qi is highly dedicated to patient-centred care, and will provide gentle and professional acupuncture treatment together with Chinese herbal medicine. Her goal is to maintain a high quality of service, and this is achieved through continually learning and expanding her skills. She regularly keeps informed on the latest research and continues to maintain close relationships with acupuncture and Chinese Medicine doctors in China.
