About Qi Ding
Qi is a fully qualified and registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner with long and rich clinical experience in both China and Australia. She holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chinese Medicine from two renowned Chinese medical universities and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Sydney. She also holds a Diploma in Remedial Massage. This extensive education and experience has given her a unique and wide-ranging insight into the broad applicability of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Over the years, Qi has treated many patients with a wide range of conditions such as pain relief (headache, neck, shoulder and lower back pain), arthritis, stress, depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue syndrome, injuries, digestive disorders (abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, nausea and vomiting), chronic asthma, and weight loss.
Qi also has a special interest in women's health including irregular periods, dysmenorrhoea, hormonal problems and menopause. She has many patients coming to her clinic for issues such as infertility, and seeking fertility, pregnancy and IVF support. Using acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary and lifestyle advice, Qi has helped many patients with conditions that may affect fertility to achieve healthy pregnancy and delivery of healthy babies.
At Way of Wellness Acupuncture Clinic we have been using acupuncture, frequently in combination with herbal medicine, as an adjunct treatment to help people enhancing their fertility by addressing issues which may affect fertility. However not all causes of infertility can be treated with acupuncture. For example, blocked fallopian tubes and other physical structural abnormalities will not respond to acupuncture and herbs treatment. Therefore a full medical diagnostic review is needed in order to identify the possible causes of infertility. We recommend that you make an enquiry or have an initial consultation to assess whether acupuncture and Chinese Medicine may be able to help you with your particular condition.
Qi will address your health issues with a holistic approach, incorporating acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine together with other treatment techniques and nutrition and life-style counselling. If you are struggling with a health problem, this may mean your body's natural self-healing mechanisms are not functioning properly. Chinese medicine and acupuncture work by assisting and promoting your body's natural healing mechanisms and correcting biochemical imbalances.
Qi is highly dedicated to patient-centred care, and will provide gentle and professional acupuncture treatment together with Chinese herbal medicine. Her goal is to maintain a high quality of service, and this is achieved through continually learning and expanding her skills. She regularly keeps informed on the latest research and continues to maintain close relationships with acupuncture and Chinese Medicine doctors in China.
